Abstract: ในปัจจุบันเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศได้ถูกนำมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการขององค์กรและสถาบันต่างๆอย่างแพร่หลาย และช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกในด้านต่างๆให้แก่ผู้ใช้บริการมากยิ่งขึ้น ตัวอย่างเช่น การพัฒนาระบบให้ผู้ขอใช้บริการสามารถกรอกข้อมูลลงแบบฟอร์มต่างๆผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ขององค์กรได้ นอกจากนี้ผู้ใช้บริการยังสามารถติดต่อสื่อสารและติดตามสถานะของผลการดำเนินการต่างๆได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ขององค์กร โครงงานนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการนำเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศมาประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อสนับสนุนกระบวนการรับสมัครทุนโครงการปริญญาเอกกาญจนาภิเษก โดยจัดทำระบบที่สามารถอำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่ผู้สมัครขอรับทุน ผู้ประเมินจากภายนอก เจ้าหน้าที่โครงการ และผู้บริหาร ซึ่งระบบได้ถูกพัฒนาในรูปแบบของโปรแกรมประยุกต์บนเว็บและสามารถรองรับรับการให้บริการต่างๆ ได้แก่ ผู้สมัครสามารถกรอกใบสมัครออนไลน์ ตรวจสอบการได้รับเอกสารการสมัคร ตรวจสอบสถานภาพการพิจารณาทุนและผลการให้ทุนได้ ผู้ประเมินจากภายนอกสามารถประเมินคุณสมบัติของผู้สมัครและแจ้งผลการประเมินออนไลน์ได้ เจ้าหน้าที่สามารถติดตามเอกสารที่ไม่สมบูรณ์จากผู้สมัครได้ ผู้บริหารสามารถดูรายงานต่างๆเพื่อนำไปใช้ในการวางแผน กลยุทธ์ได้ และเนื่องจากระบบนี้ช่วยลดขั้นตอนในกระบวนการรับสมัครทุนลงได้ดังนั้นจึงเป็นการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการปฏิบัติงานด้านการรับสมัครทุนของเจ้าหน้าที่ในภาพรวม ระบบนี้ได้พัฒนาขึ้นบนระบบปฏิบัติการ Window XP จัดการฐานข้อมูลด้วย MySQL 5.0.16 และใช้โปรแกรมภาษา PHP 4.4.1 ในการเขียนโปรแกรม

Abstract: Currently, information technology is widely used to improve the efficiency in providing services and to facilitate the uses of these services by most organizations. The required information can be readily obtained from many organizations through filling a form in the organization’s website via internet. Users can communicate and monitor the status their requested information or applications effectively through the organization’s website. The objective of this project is to develop an IT system for facilitating the application process for the RGJ-Ph.D. Program. This system will make it much more convenient for the applicants, assessors, project officers and executives to undertake their tasks. A web-based system to be developed will be capable of providing key services in the application process. The applicants can fill in the application form and check whether all the necessary documents have been received, monitor the status of assessment process and the outcome of the application via internet. Program officers can also request the missing or additional documents from the applicants via internet. Executives can monitor the detail and number of the fellowships granted continuously, which is extremely useful for strategic planning. The system developed will significantly reduce the manual operation, which will lead to significant improvement of the efficiency of the application process. The system to be developed will be based on Window XP, MySQL 5.0.16 database management system and PHP 4.4.1 program language.
