Abstract:
The purposes of this study were 1) to develop a backward design instructional package on Microsoft PowerPoint that meets the 80/80 efficiency standard criterion, 2) to compare learning achievements of students before and after using the package, and 3) to study a learning satisfaction level of students using the package. Data collection instruments in this study include 1) the backward design instructional package on Microsoft PowerPoint for Pathomsuksa 6 students, 2) students learning achievement tests, 3) a questionnaire investigating the level of student learning satisfaction, 4) a backward design learning management plan. The sample in this study was 38 students studying in one classroom. Cluster random sampling technique was used to identify one whole class of students from three classrooms. Statistics used in this study were X ̅, Percentage, Standard Deviation (SD), and t-test dependent.
This study reports the following findings:
1. The efficiency index of the backward design instructional package on Microsoft PowerPoint for Pathomsuksa 6 was 84.73/81.31 as indicated by 80/80.
2. Students post-learning achievement was significantly higher than their pre-learning achievement (p < .05).
3. Pathomsuksa 6 Students were highly satisfied with the backward design instructional package on Microsoft PowerPoint with the average score of 4.66 and Standard Deviation of 0.52.
