Abstract:
The Purpose of the Research: The purpose of the research was to study the characteristics of administrators in primary schools under the jurisdiction of Bangkok Metroplis. The Research Procedures: The samples consist of 1,300 teachers from 130 schools under the jurisdiction of Bangkok Metropolis. The tools utilzed in performing this research are composed of questionnaires with two parts. Part I was about the enquiries to acquire information about opinions of characteristics of administrators in primary schools in 8 areas and this part comprises 153 items. The questions were of ratio evaluation In analysing the data, percentile, mean, standard deviation, and test were utilized.The resulte of the research are:1. The teachers opinions about the reality and expectation toward characteritics of administrators in expectation toward characteritics of administrators in general were different and in comparision by mean, the expectation scores were apparently higher than those of the reality. Morever, both the reality and expectation opinions were of fair standard norm 2. In all 8 areas of administrators charcteristics, personality, moral and responsibility, teaching and learning development, creation, professional knowledge, school business, direction and hierarchy and human relation, the teachers' opinions about the reality and expectation were different. And in comparision by mean the expectation scores were apperently higher than those of reality scores.
