วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง พันธกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจของวัดในงานศพของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมร มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาพันธกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจในงานศพของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมร และเพื่อสร้างรูปแบบทางเศรษฐกิจของวัดในงานศพของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมร บ้านสูงเนิน ตำบลสูงเนิน อำเภอกระสัง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการศึกษาจากเอกสารและการศึกษาแบบมีส่วนร่วมกับชุมชน การลงพื้นที่สัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกจากพื้นที 3 ชุมชนได้แก่ วัดป่าตะครองใต้ หมู่ที่ 3 วัดทุ่งสว่าง หมู่ที่ 7 วัดบัวถนน หมู่ที่ 4 ตำบลสูงเนิน อำเภอกระสัง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ โยศึกษา พิธ๊กรรมงานศพ 1) เจ้าภาพงานศพ 2) ปราชญ์ในหมู่บ้าน 3) พระสงฆ์ 4) สัปเหร่อ 5) เจ้าของร้านบริการจัดงานศพ โดยใช้แนวคิดวัฒนธรรมชุมชนการมีส่วนร่วม เพื่อทำความเข้าใจรากฐานวิธีสังคมที่สะท้อนและดำรงอยู่จนถึงปัจจุบัน
จากการวิจัยพบว่า พันธกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจของวัดในงานศพของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมร มีการสืบทอดดำรงอยู่ด้านเศรษฐกิจวัฒนธรรมประเพณีมาเป็นเวลานาน ได้แก่ พิธีกรรมที่เกี่ยวกับผีพุทธ พราหมณ์ ชี้ให้เห็นว่าพิธีกรรมความเชื่อ งานศพโดยในพิธีงานศพของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมร ประกอบไปด้วย การตราสังศพ การห่อศพและสังดอยการปูฟากศพการตั้งศพ การเคลื่อนย้ายศพ การหว่านข้าวสาร หรือข้าวตอก พิธีเสี่ยงทายในการปลงศพ การเผาศพ การเผาศพ การแปรธาตุ การเก็บอัฐิ การตั้งอัฐิบำเพ็ญกุศล และการบรรจุอัฐิ ซึ่งแต่ละขั้นตอนจะประกอบได้ด้วยรายจ่ายที่เกี่ยวกับพิธีกรรมนั้นๆ จึงนำมาสู่การสร้างรูปแบบพันธกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจของวัดในงานศพของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมร ตำบลสูงเนิน อำเภอกระสัง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ โดยรายละเอียดประกอบไปด้วย ชื่ นามสกุล ผู้เสียชีวิต กำหนดเวลาในการประกอบพิธีกรรม รายละเอียดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพิธีกรรม รายละเอียดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพระสงฆ์ รายละเอียดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับทางวัด รายละเอียดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดเลี้ยง รายละเอียดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับองค์ประกอบในงานศพ พร้อมค่าใช้จ่ายในแต่ละรายละเอียด ซึ่งจากรูปแบบที่สร้างขึ้นมานั้นสมารถใช้เป็นเครึ่องมือในการประเมินค่าใช้จ่ายในส่วนต่างๆ ได้ก่อนการจัดงาน แล้วยัสาม่รถช่วยประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายในส่วนที่ไม่จำเป็นได้ และยังเป็นสิ่งกำหนดรูปแบบการดำเนินพิธีกรรมให้เป็นไปตามกรอบความเชื่อ ประเพณีของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ไทย-เขมรได้
The objectives of this research were to study about the economic activities of the temple in the funeral ceremony of the Thai-Khmer ethnic group and to generate the economic model for the temple in the funeral ceremony of the Thai-Khmer ethnic group living at Ban Noansoong sub- district, Krasang district, Buriram province. This present research employed a qualitative research methodology. Data had been collected through a documentary study and a community participation study. Further, and in-depth interview had been also conducted with the participants living in 3 communities including Wat Pa Taklong- tai at Moo 3, Wat Thungswang at Moo 7, and Wat Buathanon at Moo 4 in Soongnoen sub-district, Krasang district, Buriram province. The key inFormants were 1) the funeral ceremony s hosts; 2) the local philosophers; 3) the Buddhist monks; 4) the undertakers; and 5) the funeral businessmen. The study was based on the concepts of community culture and community participation in order to generate the understanding of social foundation since the past until present
The study found that the economic activities of the Thai-Khmer community have been inherited for a long time. Such the economic activities are usually related to rituals concerning the spirits in Buddhism and Brahmanism. The funeral of the Thai-Khmer ethnic group usually relates to the beliefs tying shroud to the dead boy, placing the deceased, wrapping the deceased, moving the deceased, rice or popped rice scattering, divining, transforming, ash collecting, merit making for ash, and ash preserving. There will be expenses for every fore-mentioned activities in the funeral ceremony. As the result, the economic, activities of the temple in the funeral ceremony of the Thai-Khmer ethnic people living at Ban Noansoong sub- district, Krasang district, Buriram province has been proposed through the present study. The model comprises of a name and surname of the deceased for the operation, a detail of the rites, a detail of the Buddhist monks, a detail of the temple, a detail of banquet, and a detail of funeral components. Further, the expenses of every details are also calculated. According to the economic activities model developed by the researcher, the study showed that the model could be able to use to calculate the expenses before the funeral ceremony starts, in addition, the proposed model helps to reduce the unnecessary expenses and also helps to frame the pattern of the conducting to be based on the beliefs and traditions of the Thai-Khmer ethnic group.
