Abstract:
According to the administrative process, project implementation must be monitored, to search for weaknesses or gaps in operations, for use as a guideline continue. Muang Kanchanaburi District Public Health Office, there is a dengue prevention program every year, but the lack of systematic follow up. Therefore, this study needs to monitor the performance of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Control in Muang Kanchanaburi District, fiscal year 2016, using Stakes Evaluation model. Data were collected during January 2016 from official documents, a structured interview was conducted with 22 health official, 74 related head officials, and sending questionnaire to 186 heads of household for responding. Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and tested the success of the project with one sample t-test.
The results showed that the prevention of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Amphour Muang Kanchanaburi, had 40 related health office, there were 22 public health personnel directly responsible, the budget about 3,000,000 baht to be used, and found 111 patients with a prevalence rate of 95.29 per 100,000 people, a decrease of 18.6 percent from the median of 5 years and no deaths. There were overall protection motivation at the 78.6 percent of average score; response efficacy in the most, follow by self-efficacy, vulnerability and severity in the least, at the 84.6, 80.7, 77.2 and 71.7 percent of average score respectively. The participation of people, in overall at the 78.7 percent of average score; participation in the decision-marking in the most, follow by participated in implementation, gained benefit and participated in evaluation in the least, at the 79.4, 79.4, 78.7 and 76.8 percent of average score respectively. The satisfaction of people, in overall at the 76.7 percent of average score; satisfaction in the personnel in the most, follow by step for implementation, time and facilities in the least, at the 77.9, 77.4, 75.9 and 75.3 percent of average score respectively. The satisfaction of health officials, in overall at the 68.3 percent of average score and the satisfaction of related head officials, in overall at the 75.4 percent of average score. The people had motivation, participation and satisfaction with implementation average score less than 80.0 percent. Except response efficacy, self-efficacy, participated in the decision-making, implementation and benefits had average score equal or more than 80.0 percent. People, health officials and related head official with satisfaction less than 80.0 percent. Show that the implementation to prevention and control dengue hemorrhagic fever of Muang Kanchanaburi District not successful as expected. Therefore, the people and health officials should have more motivation to implementation.
