Abstract:
The construction workers who built the power plant, they had risk of accident from
working. When the accident occured that abundantly affected to the organization. The aim of
this research was study the factor that related the safety behavior of 222 construction workers
who built the power plant in Rayong province. The questionnaires were used as the instrument for
searching factors relating to safety behaviour of construction workers in the power plant. The
result revealed that male (54.1%), aged between 26-35 years (33.3%), marriage status (55.0%),
graduatedat the primary education (34.2%), had 1-10 years of duration of employment (95.0%),
had experienced work of the construction power plant (38.7%), had general job description
(69.4%), had safety training experiences (92.3%), got an accident from working (5.90%).
Moreover, this study showed that the social support (r = -0.457, p = < 0.001) and the health belief
(r = -0.309, p = < 0.001) related with safety behaviour for construction workers who built the
power plant with statistical significance at the 0.01 level. Therefore, construction workers should
be got the promotion activities and educational activities about safety in constructions working,
including support working continuously.
