1. Autobiographical health, taboo and health behaviors of 5 elephant charmers in elephant biosphere, the Kingdom of Thailand and Lao PDR, aged between 81- 89 years. They have been strictly following taboos, the primitive religion, Brahmins and Buddhism, that have related to ecosystem and religious ecology since ancestors. Taboos they believe are consumption, intoxication, speaking, standing, walking, sitting, lying, self-care, home care and elephant care. They live their life in accordance with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, the 10 National Health Commands and the 6 Principles of the Ministry of Public Health. These gave them having a good health in terms of physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual health. This resulted in credibility, leadership, good memory, generosity and non-violence, happiness, warm family, strength, peace and longevity. It was also found that the taboos and the health behaviors of the elephant charmers in both countries were not different by performing in daily routine and would strictly be complied with the period when they were going out to the wild elephants round-up.
2. There are five components of taboos related to the health behavior of elephant charmers in the Kingdom of Thailand, as follows: 1) practices and eating healthy food; 2) the family relationship; 3) being strict in morals and adhere to religious principles; 4) credibility and leadership; and 5) generosity and not encroaching.
3. Preparation of policy proposals for health behavior development of elephant charmers, mahouts and their families in the Kingdom of Thailand here is included by 5 policies and 21 measures: 1) promoting health practices and eating healthy food with 6 measures; 2) promoting family relationship with 4 measures; 3) promoting strict morality and religious principles with 5 measures; 4) promoting credibility and leadership with 3 measures; and 5) promoting generosity and not encroaching with 3 measures.
